On September 6th, Huainan Yiheng Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. and Soochow University officially signed and unveiled the "Soochow University-Yiheng Photovoltaic Advanced Technology Research Institute" cooperation base for industry university research cooperation at Soochow University.

He hope that the Advanced Technology Research Institute will closely communicate and strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Soochow University and the School of Energy, relying on the talents and research strength of universities, utilizing rich experience and profound professional knowledge, accurately grasping market trends and technological innovation, providing technical support for industrial development, promoting the transformation and landing of more scientific and technological achievements, promoting the high-quality and efficient production of the 10GW high-efficiency heterojunction tandem solar cells production base project, and promoting the continuous high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry. At the same time, the Maoji Experimental Zone will also take the unveiling of the research institute as an opportunity to accelerate project construction, provide good project service guarantees, focus on scientific and technological innovation, empower industrial upgrading with scientific and technological innovation, and promote high-quality development of the local economy.

The research and development team at Soochow University began researching perovskite solar cells in 2015 and focused on silicon/perovskite tandem solar cells in 2018. After years of research and development, they have achieved certain scientific research results in the growth of perovskite structural materials and the application of high-efficiency solar cells. Regarding the issue of multiple surface defects in perovskite sub cells, which affect the photoelectric conversion efficiency and service life of the cells. The team proposed for the first time the strategy of in-situ growth of molecular ferroelectric passivation layers in tandem solar cells, and ultimately prepared efficient and stable silicon/perovskite tandem solar cells.
